This garden was designed in collaboration with Urbourne Architecture and the residence was made finalist of the 2018 Australian Timber Design Awards.

The garden is a nostalgic garden taking the Japanese owner back to her childhood memories of catching tadpoles in the stream near her home. The design brief was a nostalgic Japanese garden to compliment and be enjoyed from the expansive glass windows within this luxury home designed with the concept of nature blending in the typology. Sitting on tatami in front of ceiling high glass windows the Japanese garden is enjoyed from inside the home. Soft LED lighting has been installed around the pond and the tranquillity of garden can also be enjoyed by night.

The garden is enjoyed across the seasons featuring plantings of azalea, bamboo, maples and cherry blossom.
