Expansive inner-city Japanese garden

This Japanese garden in West Melbourne is magnificent. Behind the warehouse frontage of this inner-city home lies an urban forest of maples and running water.

The garden incorporates mature sized maples collected over time by our client along with other hand selected maples and assorted plants. A pond and a stream with flowing water is the main element of the garden however it’s difficult to determine the “main element” as there are so many beautiful well thought out elements in this garden. There is a separate rectangular pond which softens the concrete entertaining area and includes crane ornaments which look as though mother and child crane have flown into this amazing space for a drink.
